Early responsibilities often include supporting senior engineers with data cleaning, designing data models, and collaborating with data analysts and software developers to ensure reliable and accessible data infrastructure. You'll likely use tools such as SQL, Python, and cloud platforms, and participate in team meetings to discuss project goals and troubleshoot data-related challenges. This hands-on experience provides a strong foundation for future career growth in data engineering.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an OPT data engineer, and why are they important?

To excel as an OPT Data Engineer, you need a solid background in computer science, programming (especially Python or Java), and experience with database systems, often supported by a relevant degree.
