Job description

Masis Staffing is currently seeking experienced Machine Operators 2nd and 3rd shift to join our team in Whitestown, IN.


Position Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment to ensure efficient and safe manufacturing operations. You will work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to meet production goals and maintain high product standards.
Job Responsibilities of a Machine Operator 

• Machine operate and monitor manufacturing and packaging equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
• Set up machines, perform changeovers, and ensure proper machine operate performance.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
• Adjust machine settings to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues; escalate major repairs to maintenance.
• Record production data including output, scrap, and downtime.
• Follow SOPs, GMPs, and food safety standards.
• Follow all safety guidelines and properly use PPE while performing machine operate duties. Maintain a clean and organized work area.


Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience as a Machine Operator preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and production documents.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Experience with packaging equipment (case packers, palletizers, conveyors, automated machinery).
• Knowledge of manufacturing KPIs (efficiency, scrap, downtime).
• Ability to perform minor machine adjustments and preventive maintenance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Comfortable working around machinery, noise, and varying temperatures while maintaining safe machine operate practices.
