Machine Operator
We're looking for a dependable Machine Operator to work at our Elkhart, IN facility in our Rollfed department to join our team. If you enjoy handson work, have strong mechanical aptitude, and want to grow in a fastpaced manufacturing environment, this is a great opportunity. No experience? We will train you.
Compensation
Starting compensation range, depending on experience: $20 - $23 per hour.
- 2nd shift differential = $1.00/hr.
- 3rd shift differential = $1.50/hr.
Work Schedule
- 1st shift: 6 AM – 2 PM | Monday – Friday
- 2nd shift: 2 PM – 10 PM | Monday – Friday
- 3rd shift: 10 PM – 6 AM | Sunday - Thursday

- Machine Operators set up, operate, and troubleshoot thermoforming equipment
- Ensure efficient setups and proper material usage
- Inspect machinery and tooling before production

- Follow LockOut/TagOut, GMP, SQF, and SPC requirements

What You Bring
- One (1) year of manufacturing experience (preferred – we will train)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read, write, and speak English for training, safety, and quality requirements
- Ability to operate a forklift safely
- Ability to lift 35 –75 lbs. depending on task, with buddylift support for heavier items
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, reach, twist, and stand for long periods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle differing opinions and resolve conflict professionally while upholding The Placon Way
