Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily dispatch operations, coordinating equipment moves between multiple locations with precision and attention to detail.
  • Strategically plan routes and schedules, including acquiring all necessary local and state permits to ensure seamless equipment transport.
  • Support and collaborate with dispatch representatives, and step in as backup for the lead dispatcher as needed.
  • Assist with workforce scheduling, including employee vacations and required appointments.
  • Maintain an accurate, real-time equipment log to track the location and status of all assets.
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • Manage communication across multiple channels—phone and email—delivering prompt, courteous, and professional responses to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accurately log payroll entries for truck drivers using the payroll system.
  • Troubleshoot problems and develop solutions by working collaboratively across teams.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction.
  • Communicate effectively with management and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Embrace teamwork, pitching in to support co-workers and leadership as business needs evolve.
  • May require participation in a rotating shift schedule.
 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education in logistics, construction or transportation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with dispatch and routing software preferred.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to priority setting.
  • Advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft or Google applications preferred.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

  • Frequent radio and phone communication required.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and perform physical tasks as needed in both office and field settings.
