Consultant, Global Business Services (GBS)

Our Global Business Services (GBS) team serves as a trusted advisor to chief financial officers, chief accounting officers, and other executive stakeholders leading captive and outsourced operations. We help clients modernize finance, human resources, technology, procurement, and other enterprise functions through operating model design, governance, process transformation, and technology-enabled solutions. This work helps organizations improve financial and operational performance, manage risk, and strengthen the business value delivered by GBS organizations.

Work you'll do

As a Consultant, Global Business Services (GBS) on the Global Business Services team, you will be responsible for supporting strategic transformation initiatives that improve operating model effectiveness, service delivery, and functional performance.

  • Support client engagements focused on global business services, shared services, outsourcing, and enterprise operating model transformation
  • Perform analysis related to current-state operations, governance structures, service delivery models, and functional processes across finance and other enterprise functions
  • Develop client deliverables, including meeting materials, workplans, status reports, business cases, and presentations for workshops and executive discussions
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of technology-enabled solutions, including workflow, automation, analytics, and artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities
  • Contribute to project management, stakeholder coordination, change adoption activities, and proposal development for new client opportunities

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of consulting and/or industry experience in global business services, shared services, outsourcing, finance transformation, or business operations
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business, finance, accounting, engineering, or information systems
  • Experience supporting operating model design, governance, process improvement, or business transformation initiatives
  • Experience creating client deliverables in Microsoft PowerPoint and performing analysis in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Tableau, Power BI, ServiceNow, Salesforce, HighRadius, BlackLine, Basware, workflow tools, automation tools, or artificial intelligence-enabled solutions
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Experience with shared services, outsourcing, or captive operating models
  • Experience supporting finance, procurement, human resources, technology, or other enterprise service delivery functions
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, process mining, or continuous improvement methods
  • Experience supporting change management activities, including communications, training, or stakeholder engagement

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,600 to $188,400.
