Job description

As an Outside Plant Construction – Laborer, you will utilize your skills to:

  • Work in outdoor utility construction sites.
  • Be part of a crew that supports all phases of outside plant construction for various fiber-to-the-home projects.
  • Excavate, trench, and install fiber optic cable and all other necessary facilities.
  • Dig trenches/holes with a shovel.
  • Gather and store tools, maintain equipment and safe work zone.
  • Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field.
  • Learn and train to use various kinds of tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Safety is a value you live by.
  • You want to learn the telecom construction trade to advance your career.
    • Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, etc.
  • You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work.
  • You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (drug and background).
