Job description

The purpose of this position is to ensure that all functions and responsibilities of Patient Access and Revenue Cycle in general are executed in a timely, accurate and customer focused manner meeting all department and organizational requirements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  1. Provides the highest level of customer service through face to face, telephone and written contact with patients and/or patient representatives.
  2. Leads, motivates, coaches and develops direct and indirect staff reports to ensure the production of high quality work products.
  3. Reviews staff performance and gives appropriate feedback as scheduled and/or indicated.
  4. Ensures functional responsibilities are covered and identifies areas of department risk.  Assigns staff as needed to cover work flow responsibilities.  
  5. Establishes and builds strong working relationships and understanding with related revenue cycle and organizational personnel.
  6. Documents and communicates work in progress, findings, and recommendations to revenue cycle management and revenue cycle functional staff.
  7. Actively participates in revenue cycle performance excellence and process improvement initiatives. Constantly evaluates and seeks optimal department operations.
  8. Backs up related revenue cycle positions as needed and/or required.
  9. Oversees scheduling functions of patient registration and department staffing.
  10. Ensures the highest level of patient experience by evaluating and reviewing patient experience data.
  11. Conducts and attends Department Meetings.
  12. Maintains and updates metrics and reports as assigned while meeting deadlines.
  13. Other duties as related or assigned. 

Hours/Shifts
80 hours biweekly, day shifts.


Compensation
The hourly wage range for this role is $28.60-$36.62. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations. Sign-on bonus available with pro-rated options for part-time hires.

  4. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms and build strong relationships with related functions and departments.
  5. Working knowledge of related system applications, spreadsheets and word processing software
  6. Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  7. Diplomacy skills to bridge complex and delicate issues and priorities across functional boundaries and with Lake Region clients, payers, and outside vendors.
  8. Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required.
  9. Must be able to travel to multiple work sites as necessary.
