Overview
JOB SUMMARY
A limited Radiological Technician performs Radiologic examination on patients of all ages and provides Radiologist with finished exams for interpretation. A medical assistant functions under the direction, guidance, and supervision of a licensed physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or RN assisting in coordinating all aspects of the care received in the Urgent Care setting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: See License and Certification
Experience: Urgent care experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Vitals, triage categories, medication administration, splinting, competency in lab and radiology orders, knowledge of medication rotation and record keeping. Should have permits for the following anatomical areas: chest, extremities, leg-podiatric, and torso-skeletal.
License/Certifications: Must hold and maintain (via required continuing education credits) current certifications issued by the California Department of Public Health, Radiation Health branch for a limited permit x-ray technician. Technicians should have permits for the following anatomical areas: chest, extremities, leg-podiatric, and torso-skeletal. American Heath Association (AHA) BLS/CPR card required.
Equipment: EKG machine, blood pressure machine, otoscope, oxygen tank, stethoscope, nebulizer, glucose meter, thermometer, pulse-oximeter, Omnicell medication dispensing cabinet, computer, copy machine, fax Machine, and scanner. RIS, HIS, PACS, and stationary radiographic equipment.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
PAY RANGE
$23.00 - $33.42
