Our products are deployed all over the world, from the ground to exoatmospheric environments and into space. We are responsible for the architecture, design, and documentation of deliverable FPGA embedded processing at Raytheon.

We are seeking a highly motivated, technically strong Product Owner to lead the development and lifecycle strategy for configurable logic products across our Electrical Engineering organization. In this role, you will define and prioritize product features, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure delivery of high‑quality, mission‑critical configurable logic solutions that meet customer, program, and enterprise needs.

This position requires deep familiarity with FPGA development flows, hardware/software interactions, and the unique constraints associated with configurable logic in embedded and system-level architectures.

  • Drive multi-release planning, cross-team alignment, and resource forecasting to support strategic development activities.

  • Lead stakeholder engagement to balance competing needs across systems engineering, hardware, software, and leadership organizations.

  • Oversee product lifecycle management, including technology refresh, obsolescence strategies, reuse strategy, and long-term sustainment planning.

  • Facilitate data-driven decision-making using metrics, performance analysis, and business case justification.

  • Champion organizational improvements, best practices, and digital transformation efforts within configurable logic development workflows.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in FPGA design, verification, configurable logic development, or embedded hardware engineering.

  • Experience working in Agile development environments or serving as a product owner, scrum master, or equivalent role.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Advanced Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Experience with DO-254, aerospace/defense design standards, or safety/mission-critical hardware development processes.

  • Hands-on experience with system-on-chip (SoC) FPGA architectures, partial reconfiguration, or advanced synthesis techniques.

  • Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar agile lifecycle management tools.

  • Experience contributing to product strategy, roadmaps, or multi-release planning in a technical hardware environment.
