Ottawa Rapid FC is a founding member of the Northern Super League, Canada’s first women’s pro soccer league alongside clubs in Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. The Director, Ticket Sales is responsible for building and leading Rapid FC’s group and member ticketing revenue strategy. This role oversees the development of sales systems, processes, and performance standards that drive sustainable revenue growth and deliver an exceptional fan experience. The Director provides hands‑on leadership to the group sales team, establishes a high‑performance culture, and collaborates across departments to ensure ticketing operations align with Rapid FC’s objectives and matchday execution.

Key responsibilities include:Ticket Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation
  • Develop and execute the Club’s ticket sales strategy, including memberships, group sales and casual tickets.
  • Achieve or exceed annual and multi‑year ticket revenue targets, pricing models, and inventory strategies to maximize yield and occupancy.
  • In collaboration with Revenue and Marketing senior team members, lead the creation of sales campaigns, outreach programs, and retention initiatives that drive year‑over‑year growth.
  • Analyze market trends, fan insights, and historical performance to inform strategic decisions and optimize sales performance.
  • Partner with Marketing, Communications, and Matchday Operations to align sales initiatives with Club campaigns, supporter engagement, and game‑day execution.
Leadership & Team Management
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing ticket sales team with clear expectations, KPIs, and accountability frameworks.
  • Implement training programs, sales scripts, and performance management systems to support team development and results.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Fan Experience & Relationship Management
  • Champion a fan‑centric approach to sales and service, ensuring all interactions reflect Rapid FCs values and brand identity.
  • Be a strong ambassador for Rapid FC in the community, building strong relationships with corporate, community, and key accounts to expand the Club’s reach and revenue potential.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Produce regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for executive leadership.
  • Monitor KPIs, conversion rates, and pipeline activity to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Use data‑driven insights to refine strategies and improve team performance.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in ticket sales, revenue generation, or related roles within professional sports or live entertainment. Demonstrated success leading sales teams and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, ticketing platforms, and sales analytics. Experience working with CRM (Hub Spot) software, within a Ticketmaster/Achtics environment and other organizational tools such as Monday.com and Tradable Bits preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute in a fast‑paced, growth‑stage environment.
