Job description

The Healthcare Facility Locksmith is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and management of mechanical and electronic locking systems throughout the hospital and affiliated facilities. This position ensures that all locking hardware, doors, keys, cylinders, access control devices, and security hardware function properly to maintain a safe, secure, and compliant healthcare environment. The Locksmith works closely with Security, Facilities Management, Information Technology, Clinical Departments, Infection Prevention, and outside contractors to support patient safety, staff security, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted hospital operations.
  • High School Graduate or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Two (2) year related work experience as licensed Locksmith
  • Locksmith license issued by the New York City Department of Consumer and Workers Protection (DCWP)
  • Valid New York State Driver's License
  • Locksmith license issued by the New York City Department of Consumer and Workers Protection (DCWP)
  • Valid New York State Driver's License
