Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in volleyball, with excellent leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment. As the Varsity Volleyball Coach, you will be responsible for developing the skills and sportsmanship of the team members, with the goal of achieving success both on and off the court.
Key Responsibilities
  • Training & Development: Plan and conduct practice sessions to develop players' physical, technical, and tactical skills.
  • Team Management: Oversee team selection, ensuring fair and unbiased assessment of each player's abilities.
  • Game Strategy: Develop effective game strategies and make quick, strategic decisions during matches.
  • Mentoring: Serve as a mentor to student-athletes, promoting academic excellence, personal development, and a positive team culture.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with players, parents, school staff, and athletic directors.
  • Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes during practices and games.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all school and athletic association policies or regulations.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Volleyball Coach at the high school level or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the sport, including rules, tactics, and techniques.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the team's schedule.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR preferred.
