Job description

Join an organization that values it's community and employees!

The High School Intern (Work Study/Co-op) Program provides motivated high school students with the opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on work experience while continuing their education. Interns are placed in various divisions across the organization where they contribute to day-to-day operations, develop professional skills, and gain exposure to careers in local government.

Working under the guidance of experienced professionals, interns assist with administrative, technical, customer service, or project-based assignments appropriate to their interests and abilities. The program is designed to help students build workplace skills, explore career paths, and apply classroom learning in a professional environment.

This position is intended for students participating in an approved high school Work Study or Co-op program during the 2026-2027 school year. Successful interns demonstrate a willingness to learn, strong communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to providing excellent service while supporting the mission of the Harris Central Appraisal District.
