Armed Security Guard – Vallejo, CA
Part-time, NON-EXEMPT
$27.00–$32.00 per hour
Work Location: In-person (Vallejo, CA)

Position Overview
Diligence Security Group is seeking Armed Security Guards for a high-profile client site in Vallejo. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and a confident command presence. This role includes secure cash-escort duties requiring strict adherence to chain-of-custody procedures. Backgrounds in military service, law enforcement, armored transport, or high-risk security environments are valuable but not required. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Valid BSIS Guard Card
  • Valid BSIS Firearm Permit
  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Own duty firearm and ballistic vest
  • Ability to provide DD-214 or POST documentation when applicable
  • Proficiency with radios, mobile reporting tools, and basic technology
  • Open availability including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience escorting or transporting money
  • Strong situational awareness and verbal communication
  • Certifications such as Taser, Baton, Handcuffs, OC Spray, and CPR/First Aid
  • Associate degree or higher

Position Duties

  • Maintain an armed presence across assigned indoor and outdoor posts
  • Escort and protect high-value cash movements
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and site activity
  • Respond to incidents using appropriate de-escalation techniques
  • Conduct patrols, inspections, and safety checks
  • Complete accurate incident and activity reports
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and client policies

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, walk, or remain stationary for extended periods
  • Ability to respond quickly to incidents
  • Ability to perform physical security interventions and safely separate individuals
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 75–100 pounds
  • Ability to bend, crouch, climb, or kneel during inspections
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments
  • Ability to maintain a strong command presence and physical readiness appropriate for high-intensity situations
