A Day on the Job Summary:

The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the Clubhouse and surrounding campus. This role ensures all furnishings, fixtures, and common areas are clean, well-maintained, and present a welcoming environment for members, guests, and staff.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Perform general cleaning and upkeep of the Clubhouse and campus, including dusting, polishing, trash removal, supply restocking, and window cleaning
  • Maintain all flooring surfaces through vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping
  • Safely and properly operate cleaning equipment and tools
  • Respond promptly to spills and minor cleaning or maintenance issues
  • Complete minor repairs to furniture, fixtures, and décor as needed
  • Report major repair needs or safety concerns to supervisors or management in a timely manner
  • Transport and reposition furnishings throughout the Clubhouse on a regular basis
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and independently with minimal supervision
  • Communicate daily priorities, completed tasks, and updates to the Housekeeping Manager
Requirements:

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage your time efficiently
  • Work well when supervisors are not present
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently; up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Handle basic maintenance, building repairs, cleaning, and other janitorial work
  • Ability to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies
  • High school diploma
  • Ability to use basic cleaning equipment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to loud noise levels and chemicals
  • Lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling
  • Frequent standing and walking
