Position Summary:

The Environmental Services Worker is responsible for housekeeping activities of assigned site(s). The Environmental Services Worker is responsible for disposal of hazardous waste and additional tasks as required for efficient operations.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains strict confidentiality concerning all internal and external organizational matters.

Performs required housekeeping activities which include:

  • Sweeping
  • Mopping
  • Vacuuming floors
  • Wiping down walls
  1. Gathers and disposes of trash, washes wastebaskets and large refuse containers, and relines with plastic bags.
  2. Cleans lighting fixtures, door frames, and other places.
  3. Cleans air conditioning vents, baseboards, and windowsills.
  4. Washes sinks and other plumbing fixtures; replace disposables, such as towels, soap, and toilet paper.
  5. Cleans window coverings and windows.
  6. Keeps waiting areas clean and orderly.
  7. Complies with established infection control policies and procedures in performing housekeeping duties.
  8. Reports on any mechanical failure or negative condition observed.
  9. Maintains confidentiality of patient and corporate information; and
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Two years’ experience in facility maintenance is preferred.
