Hours Per Day: 4.00 - 8.00 (B-Shift)
Days Per Week: Flexible
Minimum Pay Rate is $16.50 Per Hour (Plus shift differential.)
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Some cleaning experience also desirable but not necessary.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing all of the routine cleaning duties in the school buildings as directed by the Head Custodian or his/her designee.
Key Functions:
  1. Cleans, sweeps, mops, washes walls, dusts, cleans and polishes furniture and windows, woodwork, railings, radiators, window coverings, etc.; and performs other cleaning duties.
  2. Empties waste baskets, pencil sharpeners, etc. and disposes of rubbish.
  3. Cleans and washes lavatory fixtures, chalk boards and chalk trays.
  4. Replaces light bulbs, dispensers, etc. Fills dispensers with soap, disposable paper products, etc.
  5. Vacuums and cleans carpets and furniture; straightens office, classroom and cafeteria furniture.
  6. Sets up and prepares rooms for meetings, programs, etc.
  7. Secures and locks windows and doors.
  8. Turns off lights and small appliances.
  9. Continuously aware of all safety precautions, procedures, etc. and reports problems/ deficiencies.
  10. Gives assistance as necessary to educational personnel.
  11. Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
  12. Performs duties as may be assigned by the Head Custodian or his/her designee.
