Job Title: Journeyman Plumber
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to focus primarily on tenant improvements within existing commercial buildings. The role involves tearing down, refurbishing, and installing new equipment for various facilities such as kitchens, showers, and washrooms. Responsibilities include handling full-scope plumbing projects from start to finish, including the removal and installation of piping and vent stacks. The ideal candidate should be proficient in reading blueprints and managing small to medium-sized projects, including supervising a crew of laborers or apprentices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation and modification of all plumbing and piping systems, including domestic water, storm, sanitary, hydronics, and natural gas.
  • Lead and supervise field project team members ranging from 2 to 10 people.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure project success.
  • Supervise on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Review blueprints, specifications, schematics, and project documents accurately to guide construction efforts.
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers regarding progress and site issues.
  • Conduct quality control inspections throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project status and performance.
