The Team

The Role
As a key member of our team the Night Custodian is responsible for performing comprehensive cleaning of all public areas, ensuring each space is spotless and well-maintained. They restock all supplies and amenities to ensure guests have everything they need for a comfortable visit. The Public Area Attendant takes initiative to enhance the guest experience, responds promptly to inquiries and requests, and promptly identifies and reports maintenance and safety hazards to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
Your contributions to the team include:
  • Comprehensive cleaning of public areas, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, inside window cleaning, and ensuring the general tidiness of all public areas.
  • Restock all supplies and amenities in public areas, ensuring linens, soap, paper towels, and other necessary items are available.
  • Arrange and maintain furniture in public areas following guest use.
  • Take initiative to add a personalized experience for the guests.
  • Ensure all cleaning products, MSDS sheets and equipment are kept in good shape and stored correctly.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all chemicals and cleaning products and follow correct handling procedures.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest and staff inquiries, requests, and complaints.
  • Ensure the security and proper handling of lost property items found in public areas, recording and tagging them accordingly.
  • Ensure proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Report all maintenance and safety hazards, including burned-out light bulbs, plumbing issues, and suspicious activities, to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Rooms Manager.
  • Ensure security and safety of all public areas.
  • Keep an updated record of all cleaned public areas.
  • Additional tasks and duties as assigned.
