Job description

Job Title: Janitorial Worker – 2nd ShiftJob Description

This role provides janitorial services in a large, modern data center facility. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment by performing a variety of cleaning tasks in office spaces, common areas, restrooms, and data center spaces, as well as occasional outdoor trash removal.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general janitorial duties, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and trash removal in office spaces, common areas, and data center environments.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they remain stocked, hygienic, and presentable at all times.
  • Empty, remove, and replace trash and recycling containers throughout the facility, including occasional outdoor trash removal.
  • Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, and performing basic floor care as needed.
  • Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines while working in and around a large data center.
  • Use cleaning tools, supplies, and equipment properly and safely to complete assigned tasks.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure all assigned areas are cleaned according to schedule.
  • Support additional cleaning tasks and special projects as requested by leadership.
  • Adhere to facility rules and regulations, including any access or security protocols related to the data center.
Essential Skills
  • At least 6 months of experience in janitorial, housekeeping, general production, warehouse, food service, or manufacturing roles.
  • Ability to perform sweeping, dusting, mopping, trash removal, and restroom cleaning tasks consistently and efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of floor care practices and willingness to perform floor maintenance tasks.
  • Reliability and strong work ethic to support a 2nd shift schedule from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established cleaning procedures.
  • Capability to work safely in and around a large data center environment, including partially constructed areas.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry cleaning materials and equipment throughout the shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Floor care experience is a plus and will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience working in facilities maintenance, janitorial services, or similar environments is beneficial.
  • Comfort working both indoors and outdoors for tasks such as trash removal.
  • Willingness to work some overtime as needed to support facility needs.

You will perform tasks both indoors and occasionally outdoors for trash removal. Steel toe or composite toe boots are required as part of the safety attire in this environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
