Our client, a respected commercial general contractor, is seeking an experienced Unit / Finish Superintendent to oversee interior finishes, unit readiness, punch list completion, and final turnover on a high-rise residential construction project in the Miami market.
This is an exciting opportunity for a construction professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional quality during the final and most visible stages of a project. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced managing multiple finish trades while driving projects to successful completion.Position Overview
The Unit / Finish Superintendent will manage all aspects of interior finish construction from drywall completion through final turnover. This role is responsible for coordinating finish trades, maintaining quality standards, tracking unit readiness, and ensuring every space is delivered according to schedule and client expectations.
Working closely with Project Management, MEP teams, Quality Control, and subcontractors, this individual will play a critical role in delivering a polished, move-in-ready product.Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee finish sequencing across residential units, corridors, amenity spaces, and interior common areas.
  • Coordinate finish trades including flooring, tile, painting, drywall touch-up, millwork, cabinetry, countertops, doors, hardware, appliances, fixtures, and specialty installations.
  • Manage benchmark units, mock-ups, first-work inspections, and quality standards prior to production.
  • Track unit-by-unit completion and maintain punch lists, deficiency logs, and turnover schedules.
  • Coordinate closely with MEP, Quality Control, and Project Management teams to eliminate obstacles affecting turnover milestones.
  • Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain accountability for quality, schedule, and punch completion.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs to verify workmanship, cleanliness, and project readiness.
  • Ensure all interior work meets company standards, project specifications, and owner expectations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate project status to leadership.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Finish Superintendent, Interior Superintendent, Unit Superintendent, or Superintendent specializing in interior construction.
  • Proven experience managing finish sequencing, punch lists, unit turnover, and interior quality control on commercial or multifamily construction projects.
  • Experience with high-rise residential, condominium, hospitality, mixed-use, or multifamily developments strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of finish trade coordination and construction sequencing.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors while maintaining strict quality standards.
  • Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software is preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
