Job Summary
As a lead engineer, you will define strategies for enterprise-wide on-premise, and cloud computing architecture, driving innovation and efficiency. You will lead projects that shape the future of scalable on-premise, hybrid-cloud and cloud-native systems. A lead systems engineer provides strategic leadership and technical direction for the systems engineering team. This role combines hands-on expertise with project management responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Define the technical vision and strategy for on-premise and cloud-native distributed computing systems.
  • Architect hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions for enterprise-scale applications.
  • Lead adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-powered infrastructure optimization.
  • Collaborate to develop compliance frameworks for infrastructure security, governance, and regulatory adherence.
  • Guide executive decision-making through infrastructure strategy recommendations.
  • Oversee complex hybrid-cloud migrations, expansions, and serverless computing transitions.
  • Drive automation efforts for cloud-native Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
  • Establish global performance benchmarks for cloud workloads and scalability.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience.
  • Six years of relevant work experience.
  • Prior project delivery certification or extensive delivery experience in Agile, Waterfall, Scrum.
  • An expert in virtualization (VMware, KVM), storage (SAN/NAS), and backup systems.
  • Proven track record of designing scalable hybrid-cloud solutions for large enterprises.
  • Expertise in hybrid and multi-cloud computing and automation strategies.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence strategic technical decisions.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Extensive experience as an lead technology advisor and ability to mentor team members.
  • Expert knowledge of backup tools, DR/BCP and system documentation.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and system administration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of all ITSM concepts and processed.
  • Demonstrated experience of on-premise and Azure-based infrastructure or services.
  • Preferred:
    • Microsoft Azure Certified Administrator.
    • Microsoft Azure Certified Architect.
    • Advanced vendor product certifications.

Base Salary Range:
$100,924.00 - $176,617.00
