Professionals in this role work for telecommunications companies, ensuring high-speed internet, television, and voice services operate efficiently. Responsibilities may include configuring network components, repairing signal issues, and upgrading infrastructure. Strong technical skills and knowledge of RF (radio frequency) signals, fiber optics, and networking are essential for success in this field.

To thrive as an HFC (Headend Fiber Coordinator), you need a solid understanding of fiber optic networks, cable infrastructure, and network maintenance, typically supported by technical certifications or relevant field experience. Familiarity with network management tools, fiber testing equipment, and GIS mapping systems is essential for managing and troubleshooting fiber connectivity.
