Join the team at the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex, an award-winning property featuring Hersheypark amusement park, GIANT Center arena, Hersheypark Stadium, ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park, and Hershey Theatre. Thrilling roller coasters, action-packed Hershey Bears hockey games, thrilling live entertainment, and one-of-a-kind events are a day in the life of our team members.
This internship will provide hands-on experience in employee engagement and staffing by assisting with the administrative operational duties related to the Attractions, Food & Beverage, Games, Guest Experience, Retail, Wardrobe, Park Services, and Safety & Security teams of Hersheypark and Hersheypark Entertainment Complex. Employee Support Interns are engaged in providing Hersheypark Entertainment Complex team members with an exceptional level of guest service while successfully handling written or verbal inquiries, attendance records, and more.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
  • Provide positive leadership, motivation, training, supervision, and regular follow up with our team members*
  • Handle a high volume of in-coming and out-going phone calls*
  • Respond to written and verbal inquiries relating to events, schedules, policies, and procedures*
  • Assist with the scheduling process which includes team members requests, schedule creation, and schedule modifications for over 3500 seasonal team members*
  • Counsel team members on their attendance records and apply progressive disciplinary procedures*
  • Assist with the coordination of supplemental staffing programs such as the volunteer program*
  • Update timekeeping records for part time team members*
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older on the date of applying
  • Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in undergraduate education majoring in Business Administration or a related major

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications, including Excel and Word
  • Must have proven excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times
  • Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other employees and be able to interact with guests
  • Must be detail oriented with proven organizational skills
  • Must be comfortable speaking to large groups
  • Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information and work without a conflict of interest
  • Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

Job Demands:
  • This is a Fall internship opportunity. Students must be available to work beginning in August 2026 through December 2026. Opportunities to start earlier or extend the internship past December will be evaluated.
  • Students must have open availability for shift times with start times as early as 5:45AM and as late as 12:00AM on the weekends.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of two (2) weekends per month (both Saturday and Sunday) - Weekday shifts and hours may be available based on the class schedule of the intern.
  • Physical requirements include standing for periods up to five (5) hours at a time, walking, bending, and lifting up to twenty (20) pounds without assistance
  • Regular inside work is required, but also includes outside work in various weather conditions including exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow, and other inclement weather
