Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Trades Support Technician is the backbone of our field operations in Omaha - keeping our technicians equipped, moving, and focused on what they do best. This role blends warehouse logistics with hands-on field work across our HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Drain/Sewer teams. One part of your day might be staging and delivering parts and equipment to job sites; the other has you working side-by-side with our technicians as a direct project assistant. No experience in the trades? No problem - we will train the right person from the ground up. If you're reliable, hardworking, and ready to build a career doing something real, this is your on-ramp.
WHY YOU'LL WANT TO WORK HERE:
Looking for more than just a job? Come work for one of the most trusted and innovative companies in the area, proudly celebrating 30 years in the community with a low employee turnover rate - because our people truly stay. We offer above-average pay, weekly pay, and benefits you'll actually use, including full medical, dental, and vision with fully employer-paid options, 401(k) match, paid uniforms, and a $1,000 wellness program. Enjoy generous PTO, your birthday off, and a real commitment to work-life balance (we mean it). Built on high integrity and next-level innovation, this is your chance to grow your career with the best in the area - while being supported every step of the way.
GROW YOUR CAREER WITH US:
This role is intentionally designed as a launching pad. As a Trades Support Technician, you will work alongside experienced HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Drain/Sewer technicians every day. We invest in our people, and for the right individual, there is a clear, supported path to becoming a full-service technician in any of our trades. We promote from within - and we mean it.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver parts, equipment, and materials to field technicians and job sites in a timely and organized manner
  • Stage and load daily outgoing runs, verifying accuracy against work orders and job requirements
  • Assist HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Drain/Sewer technicians on-site with installations, service calls, and project work as directed
  • Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with company policy; maintain a clean driving record
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and proper receiving procedures
  • Track and report any inventory discrepancies, damage, or shortages to the warehouse manager
  • Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
  • Communicate proactively with dispatchers, service managers, and technicians to anticipate field needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
  • Complete all required paperwork, delivery confirmations, and vehicle inspection logs accurately and on time

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. and perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, delivery, or trades support role (preferred but not required)
  • Hands-on experience or coursework in HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical (a plus - we will train the right person)
  • Basic computer skills, including comfort with mobile apps or inventory/dispatch systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when pulling, staging, and delivering parts
  • Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage a fast-moving, changing day

WHO YOU ARE:
  • You put the team first - our technicians count on you to show up ready and keep things moving
  • You communicate well and build trust quickly with people in the field and in the office
  • When the job changes last minute, you adapt without losing your cool
  • You hold yourself to a high standard and take pride in doing things the right way
  • You see this role as step one of something bigger - and you're ready to put in the work
