Helper Tesoro Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Director of Residential to join their team in supporting their Southern Minnesota Portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in property management. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be overseeing multiple communities: Affordable, Rural development, some affordable single-family homes, Mix of multi-family to single family homes. Experience with Affordable/Rural Development/Section 8 is required.

Locations: Northfield, Rochester, Kasson, Waseca. Jackson, Faribault. Majority of time is spent in Northfield/Faribault.

Salary: $85,000k - $105,000k DOQ. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

Schedule: Full Time - Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday – Friday with a 30min lunch

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Provide hands-on operational leadership and support across multiple sites to drive team performance and business growth.
• Ensure accountability, organization, and operational excellence through strong processes, training, and performance management.
• Lead, coach, and develop teams through onboarding, training, and ongoing mentorship.
• Serve as a proactive problem-solver, providing guidance and determining effective next steps for property-level challenges.
• Maintain working knowledge of all property operations, including leasing, resident relations, work orders, and maintenance functions.
• Support site teams by removing operational barriers, improving workflows, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Adapt quickly to changing business needs and company growth while maintaining consistency and efficiency.
• Foster team collaboration, accountability, and alignment to achieve organizational goals and high service standards.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in property management – affordable housing experience is required.
• Proficient in using smartphones, tablets, and work-order/property management software
• Full encompassed employee willingness and able to step in where needed to help grow an operation.
• Accountability, Organization, and training implementation & ability
• Leadership and developmental soft skills: Proactive thinking, Adapt with company Growth, Ability to hit the ground running.
• Prefer someone that has knowledge or Traction
• Very organized
• Assist/help with training and onboarding
• This person needs to know all facets of each job (Leasing, showings, W/O's, life of a property manager or MT)
• Focus on operations and support of the team
• Hold the group together
• What is the best logical next action when things happen at the property level
• Provide guidance
• Provide guidance and accountability for site operations
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Ability to pass a background check before employment.
