Job Brief & Preview

In alignment with Metrotainment Cafes Core Values, supports the service team in providing our guests with a level of service & hospitality that exceeds their expectations every time and delivers on our Mission Statement to Make All Our Stakeholders Happy.  This is to be accomplished in the spirit of teamwork & collaboration with attention to operational details and through self-accountability for the delivery of our intended guest & employee experience. 
Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sets up and stocks service stations with roll-ups, take out containers, condiments & miscellaneous guest service supplies.
  • Sets up and maintains beverage service stations throughout the shift to include ensuring sufficient amounts of brewed tea, brewed coffee, house lemonade, ice bin upkeep and beverage service items are available for service team.
  • Pre-busses tables during meal service by removing dishes and items no longer being used to maintain well “groomed” table tops.
  • Sets/resets all tables per restaurants table top set-up schematics and guidelines.
  • Carries dirty dishes, glassware and silverware to dish washing area and properly off-loads and sorts items to be cleaned. 
  • Practices full hands in and full hands out transporting clean dishware from kitchen to FOH service areas and bar.
  • Assists in maintaining restroom cleanliness, re-stocks toiletries and trash removal.
  • Executes all position responsibilities in the spirit of proactive team work & cooperation.
  • Checks out with Management at conclusion of shift to ensure all duties & sidework have been completed to standard.
  • Performs additional tasks & projects as assigned. 

Required Competencies, Qualifications & Physical Requirements

  • Arrives to work on time, well groomed, in an immaculate uniform, and ready to work. 
  • Demonstrates a helpful, positive attitude when interacting with fellow employees, management & guests.
  • Understands and adheres to all safety, sanitation and administrative procedures.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions from others in English.
  • Ability to calculate basic math/unit conversion functions.
  • Possess the physical stamina to stand working for up to 10 hours.
  • Able to move items up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 25 feet.
  • Comfortable working in an environment that may experience significant temperature changes.
