We are looking for a Senior Panel Builder to join our Rexel, USA team in Rochester, NY!

Summary:
The Senior Panel Build Technician is responsible for assembly and/or wiring of electrical control panels from component parts, modification of standard materials to customer specifications, and kitting of materials per customer requirements. This role is also responsible for packaging and labelling the finished work products for delivery to customers to ensure safe shipment and adequate identification by the end user.
What You'll Do:

  • Assembly and/or wiring of electrical components (non-energized)
  • Utilize various hand and power tools to complete work tasks
  • Measure, cut, and label material
  • Package finished goods for shipment
  • Share maintenance duties for the shop area such as taking inventory, cleaning, etc.
  • Ensure Quality Management policies and procedures are upheld
  • Read and interpret schematics, instructions, and diagrams
  • Other duties as assigned

  • 4+ years of related experience
  • Exposure to or experience with blueprints, electrical schematics, wire charts, or engineering drawings

  • General knowledge of electrical products and/or control panels
  • Knowledge of established Quality Management procedures
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure, ruler, and level
  • Physical ability to manipulate hand tools (pliers, screwdrivers, meters, etc.)
  • Ability to safely operate power tools as required (handheld drill, tabletop saw, band saw, grinder, etc.)
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to measurements
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks
  • Attention to fine detail, ability to closely follow written documentation and directions, and the ability to work collaboratively with others to meet deadlines
