Job Summary:

Are you ready to kickstart your career in construction? As a Concrete Construction Field Worker at Crookham Construction, you'll be a vital part of our dynamic team, assisting in the installation, preparation, and finishing of concrete structures. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you'll ensure our projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for Success: Assist in setting up worksites for concrete pours, including forms, scaffolding, and mixing equipment.
  • Hands-On Work: Perform concrete placement and finishing tasks, such as pouring, leveling, smoothing, and finishing surfaces using hand tools and power equipment.
  • Reinforce Excellence: Help install rebar and other reinforcement materials according to project specifications.
  • Safety First: Follow safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain Standards: Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including concrete finishers, carpenters, and project managers, to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Effective Communication: Follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members to achieve project goals.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in concrete construction is a plus.
  • Experience as a construction laborer or concrete worker is preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and power equipment used in concrete construction.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy materials.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites as needed.
