Job description

Maaco Collision Repair and Auto Painting has multiple locations throughout the DFW area, and we are seeking individuals who are self-motivated with a passion for success to join our growing team to help fill our Paint Line Technician role's.

Automotive Stager/Masker

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Complete vehicles so that they are ready for the paint booth within the established time
frame (average of one hour per vehicle, 8 per day in accordance with Maaco’s 8-4-2

  • Production Operating Model)Keep the painter supplied with at least two properly masked vehicles at all times.
  • Mask vehicles in accordance with the MAACO Procedures for detailing
  • Using and maintaining all MAACO equipment in a safe and judicious manner.
  • Adhering to all health regulations and utilize all safety equipment.
  • Adhering to all safety rules in dealing with hazardous materials.
  • Maintaining his/her workstation in a clean and efficiently organized manner.
  • Performing work in accordance with MAACO Quality Standards and examining all work
    upon intake coming into their department for Quality Standards.
  • Using all materials in an efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Developing all the skills of sanding, masking and detailing.
  • Functioning as a member of the MAACO team, and assisting other Paint Line
    Technicians in the completion of their procedures when needed to keep the line
    moving.
  • Clean and wipe down vehicles
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Efficiently work and maintain company minimum standards
  • Perform masking to protect adjacent panels from overspray.
  • Must review the repair order for each vehicle prior to beginning any work on the vehicle
  • Maintain all tools and equipment, including maintenance of paint booth and booth
    filters.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel or crouch in providing a properly prepared
    vehicle for painting
  • Keeps track of allotted vehicles while helping to keep all vehicles on schedule for stated
    delivery date
  • Fulfill all paint preparation processes for vehicles according to Reliable Auto Body
    manufactures requirements
  • Duties may include priming, sealing, jamming of replacement parts. All while
    maintaining an acceptable cost per paint labor hour.
  • Assisting the painter with everyday duties including lifting, preparing, sanding, taping,
    masking & cleaning of vehicles prior to being moved into the booth.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area, blowing out daily, and returning any unused
    inventory to storage

Automotive Prepper/Sander

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Sand vehicles in accordance with the MAACO Ten Step Procedures
  • Keep the Masker supplied with a sufficient volume of properly sanded vehicles at all times, and perform the work within the established time frame (average of one hour per vehicle, 8 per day in accordance with Maaco’s 8-4-2 Production Operating Model).
  • Using and maintaining all MAACO equipment in a safe and judicious manner.
  • Adhering to all health regulations and utilize all safety equipment.
  • Adhering to all safety rules in dealing with hazardous materials.
  • Maintaining his/her workstation in a clean and efficiently organized manner.
  • Performing work in accordance with MAACO Quality Standards and examining all work upon intake coming into their department for Quality Standards.
