We are hiring General Production Workers (Packers) in Markham, Ontario!

Job Description

This role is based in the packaging department, where you will help package granola bars with a strong focus on quality and accuracy. You may work in quality inspection, packaging, or labeling on the production floor, performing repetitive tasks while standing for the entire shift. The position involves working in two adjacent buildings and may require moving outside between them during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Package granola bars in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
• Work in designated areas such as quality inspection, packaging, or labeling on the production floor.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure products are accurately packaged and labeled.
• Perform repetitive production tasks while standing for the full duration of the shift.
• Handle products and materials safely, including lifting items up to 30 lbs as needed.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and facility rules to maintain a safe and clean production environment.
• Move between two adjacent buildings as required, including going outside mid-shift when needed.
• Read and follow written instructions, labels, and production documentation in English.
• Contribute to a consistent production flow by meeting productivity and quality targets.
• Support general labor tasks in the manufacturing environment as directed by supervisors.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs safely and repeatedly during the shift.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift while performing repetitive tasks.
• English reading and writing skills to understand labels, instructions, and production documentation.
• Experience working in a repetitive manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate packaging and labeling.
• Reliability and consistency in following established production and safety procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) experience.
• Previous experience in food or beverage production environments.
• Comfort working around products containing nuts, chocolate, caramel, and similar ingredients.
• Ability to work effectively in a smaller, fast-paced facility with a close-knit team.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a smaller, clean production facility that manufactures granola bars containing nuts, chocolate, and caramel, creating a distinct food-production atmosphere. All Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) must be followed, and employees work on their feet performing repetitive tasks in a temperature-controlled setting that can become warm during the summer. The role is based across two adjacent buildings, and moving outside between them may be required during the shift.

This is a Contract position based out of Markham, ON.

The pay range for this position is $17.60 - $17.60/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Markham,ON.
