Job description

JOB TITLE: Roll Form Operator Helper

DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing

LOCATION: Dublin, TX

PAY: $17/hr

SUMMARY: Our Roll Form Operator Helper is responsible for stacking and bundling finished purlin and keeping the material organized for each job until it ships.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adjusts the Roll-Former machine to properly produce the required product specified for each job order.
  • Quality Checks on finished material for correct specifications.
  • Inspects assemblies regularly.
  • Sort and store finished material.
  • Maintain clean work environment.
  • Operates overhead cranes and forklifts as necessary.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in manufacturing/fabrication shop is preferred.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage job duty and workflow.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player.
  • Follow safety procedures including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Frequently required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
  • Occasional exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
  • Must be able to pull or lift overhead, 50 pounds or more, consistently throughout the day.
