Location: Florham Park, NJ

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail oriented Saw Cutter / Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain industrial saw cutting equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately cutting materials according to specifications, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate saw cutting machines to cut materials such as metal, plastic, wood, or other materials according to production requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, drawings, and measuring instruments.
  • Measure and verify dimensions to ensure accurate cuts and product quality.
  • Adjust machine settings, blade speeds, and feed rates as needed.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance, blade changes, and minor machine troubleshooting.
  • Safely load and unload raw materials onto machines.
  • Maintain production records and complete required documentation.
  • Keep work area clean and organized following safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating saw cutting or manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read measuring tools, including tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Basic math and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move materials throughout the shift.
  • Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florham Park, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
