Join our team as a Set-Up - Machining and play a key role in keeping production running smoothly. In this role, you'll lead and support machining operators, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met. You'll be hands-on with machine setup, blueprint reading, precision measurement tools, and quality inspections (including CMM equipment) while helping train and guide others on the floor.

This is not a machine operator role - setup experience is required.

Shift Options:

  • 2nd Shift (2:30pm -11:30pm), with overtime opportunities. Includes +$2/hr weekend premium.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following plant safety policies and practicing 5S.

  • Set up and operate machines to run production at specified rates.

  • Complete and record TPM and quality checks to ensure consistent product quality.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on production equipment.

  • Record production, quality, and productivity data accurately.

  • Run CMM reports and make machine adjustments as needed.

  • Use precision tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, and gauges to measure and verify quality.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, control charts, and specifications; convert metric to inches when needed.

  • Train and support new associates on machining processes.

  • Apply basic root cause analysis when solving issues.

  • Work with engineers, inspectors, and maintenance teams to keep equipment and processes running effectively.

  • Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment while leading operators in your area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience.

  • Successful completion of the Set-Up Training course.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing or machine shop environment using precision measuring instruments.

The hourly pay range for this position is $23.50 to $26.80. The final offer will be based on several factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and work location. Benefits offered include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) coverage.
