Job description

Grant Casino| 3pm-11:30pm Tue-Sat| $18.00/hourly

Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will be responsible for general maintenance, entry-level preventative maintenance, and minor repairs necessary to maintain the facilities. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor or the Maintenance Manager on duty.

Primary Tasks:

  1. You will perform general preventative maintenance on the property.
  2. Perform general carpentry work; frame walls, hang drywall, build shelves, lay carpet, paint, etc.
  3. Perform locksmith tasks: repair locks, door handles, and door closures; install new door equipment.
  4. Respond to all building-related safety concerns related to maintenance.
  5. You will maintain cleanliness of facilities inside and outside: sweep, pick up trash and wash daily.
  6. Assemble, move, or arrange furniture, office equipment, or other items as directed and help with event setup when assigned.
  7. Follow safety protocol and notify the supervisor immediately of any problem, crisis, and/or emergency situation.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Mechanically inclined
  • Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations they undergo related to this field (includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods)
  • Read and follow written or oral directions for tasks
  • Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools including their designs, uses, basic maintenance
  • General knowledge of cleaning/ maintenance requirements in the hospitality industry
  • Knowledgeable of basic hand/ power tool operation
  • 3-6 months of related experience
  • Certified Pool Operator (if applicable)
