Job description

3rd Shift Maintenance Technician Needed!
Mon 9:30PM - Saturday 6AM availability required.
Starting at $30.00 per hour
At The Killer Brownie® Co., our maintenance team works hard to keep all our equipment in good condition. As the Maintenance Technician, you’ll assist in maintaining all mechanical and electrical equipment and keep an eye out for areas of improvement. Not only will you perform general maintenance duties, but you’ll also provide support for the operation team by assisting with and working through equipment issues as they arise. You’ll be the valuable helping hand to keep our facility running like a well-oiled machine!
Key Responsibilities:
Support the daily operation, inspection, and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related systems within facilities.
Assist contractors with maintenance and repair activities and independently carry out designated tasks.
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure buildings and equipment are properly maintained and repaired.
Perform routine interior maintenance, including HVAC/R coil and evaporator cleaning, and general equipment servicing.
Handle minor plumbing repairs and maintain lighting systems, including replacing bulbs and ballasts.
Complete special assignments such as painting, basic locksmith duties, responding to tenant service requests, and other general maintenance tasks.
Follow all safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized work area, and proactively identify and address potential safety hazards.
Adhere to food safety standards in maintenance practices, equipment sanitation, and procurement processes.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards for a clean and secure work environment.
Safely store, use, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with company policies.
Participate in ongoing training programs focused on technical skills, safety, and operational procedures.
Accurately document maintenance activities and materials used as directed.
Coordinate with vendors to order parts and obtain equipment manuals.
Interpret and apply information from schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals as needed.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform corrective actions promptly.
Train and guide junior technicians or operators on basic maintenance procedures.
Perform additional duties typically associated with the Maintenance Technician role.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
3+ years of experience in industrial or food manufacturing maintenance.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with PLCs, motors, pumps, valves, and food-grade equipment.
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., work on ladders up to 30 feet, and demonstrate mechanical and electrical aptitude.
