* Instructs and evaluates academic topics in accordance with TC 3-04.11 or current, equivalent publication(s), the aircrew catalogue of academic topics (ACAT), current Army and Aviation doctrine, and other special topics selected by the command. * Incumbent must successfully obtain and maintain an annual Army Class II Flight Physical. * Incumbent is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident. * Must obtain and maintain Secret background investigation.
* Incumbent requires you possess the appropriate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Pilot Certificates, FAA Flight Instructor Certificate and/or appropriate military rating. MUST attach a copy front and back. * This position requires rotating shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that includes minimum eligibility requirements for positions in this occupation based on possession of the appropriate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pilot certificates and/or appropriate military ratings, meeting the applicable flight hours requirements, and possession of the knowledge and skills required for the position which includes experience in instructing rated and non-rated pilots in the AH-64D/E helicopter; instructing and evaluating pilots in basic/advanced flight tasks and maneuvers, aircraft systems and limitations, conducting classroom instruction concerning the AH-64D/E aircraft systems and operating procedures, monitoring standardization requirements, and recommending changes in lesson plans, program of instruction, training methods and techniques.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Licensure/Certification: This position requires you possess the appropriate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Pilot Certificates, FAA Flight Instructor Certificate and/or appropriate military rating. (NOTE: You MUST attach a copy front and back with your application).
MINIMUM FLIGHT HOURS REQUIREMENT: Total Flight Hours- 1500 Pilot in Command - 500 Night Flying - 75 Flying Time in the Last 12 Months - 100 (may be waived) Instructor Hours - 500 Instrument Hours - 75 Actual Weather- 10 FLIGHT HOURS MUST BE DOCUMENTED ON THE RESUME IN THE ABOVE FORMAT.
