Salary: 200-500k usd
Summary
A multi-strategy hedge fund focused on delivering consistent returns through innovative trading strategies, robust risk management, and cutting-edge technology. As they scale, they're seeking a pragmatic Linux Engineer to join a successful and growing team.
In this pivotal role, you will architect and execute strategic changes to the Linux environment as well as oversee maintenance of that environment. Your main responsibility will be supporting the fund's expansion, including new trading types, locations, and deployment mechanisms for software teams. Additionally, you'll also ensure low-latency trading applications run seamlessly across the global network of co-location sites.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' hands-on Linux experience, with exposure to both Debian and RHEL preferred
  • Expertise in performance analysis and kernel tuning, particularly as it relates to low-latency systems
  • Ability to use Python and Ansible to fully automate deployment, with knowledge of Nix/NixOS a plus
  • Working knowledge of networking, storage, and clustering technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
  • Previous experience within Financial Services is a plus
