Job description

The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Associate to join our growing quantitative investment firm in Fort Lauderdale. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn hedge fund and trading operations. No prior experience is required - we are willing to train the right candidate.
The Operations Associate will support both U.S. trading hours and early APAC operational workflows, working closely with portfolio managers, traders, prime brokers, and technology teams to ensure smooth daily operations and accurate trade processing.
What you'll do
  • Monitor and manage daily operational workflows for U.S. and early APAC trading activities
  • Coordinate with prime brokers and counterparties to resolve:
    • Missing trade files
    • Locate issues
    • Trade rejects
    • Order mismatches
  • Perform OMS and position reconciliations/tie-outs
  • Investigate and resolve operational breaks and discrepancies
  • Work closely with trading, portfolio management, and technology teams
  • Assist with operational process improvements and ad hoc projects
  • Learn and develop knowledge of hedge fund operations and market workflow

What you need
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
