Job description

Family Location: Plymouth, MN
Summary:
A bit about us:
We are a dad and daughter duo with a sweet 6-year-old daughter. We love spending time together, whether we're going out to dinner, traveling around the U.S., or enjoying a relaxing evening at home. We love being active outdoors and recently celebrated her learning to ride her bike! At home, we enjoy talking about our day, playing games like Guess Who, swimming, and spending time together in the kitchen cooking and baking. We have a fun, close-knit relationship and enjoy making the most of both our everyday routines and new adventures together.
A bit about you:
We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and upbeat caregiver who brings a happy-go-lucky personality to the role. Our ideal nanny will encourage my daughter's independence by giving her opportunities to do things on her own while providing gentle guidance and support. We appreciate someone who can offer choices and engaging activities rather than simply asking what she wants to do. While we prefer a fun and positive approach over a strict or overly serious style, it's important that our nanny is also comfortable setting clear expectations and maintaining appropriate boundaries. At least two years of childcare experience with children around my daughter's age is preferred. Familiarity with the Jewish faith and/or Hebrew language would be a wonderful bonus!
Job Duties:
The day will begin around 3:00 p.m., when the nanny will meet my daughter at the bus and walk home with her. The afternoon will include providing engaging, screen-free care through outdoor play, creative activities, and projects around the home. Responsibilities will also include preparing and serving dinner around 5:30 p.m., preparing snacks as needed, and completing my daughter's laundry. On later evening shifts, the nanny will help transition into her bedtime routine beginning around 7:30 p.m., with the goal of having her in bed by 8:00 p.m., and remain until approximately 8:30 p.m.
Position Highlights: Guaranteed weekly hours
Qualifications: Compassionate and fun "big sister" type energy with 2+ years of experience
Set yourself apart: Familiar with the Jewish faith or Hebrew
Schedule: Starting in November, Mondays, Tuesdays, and every other Friday from 3-5:30 or 8:30 pm. Will know the schedule at least 3 weeks in advance. Open to adding in a full weekend day. Position ends Mid-May.
How to Apply: Apply Here; email [email protected] or text "nanny" to 206-752-6917 to start the process!
Pay: Starting at $22/hour
**All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired.
*Please note that during this time of COVID-19, Jovie expects all employees to follow CDC guidelines and ensure best hygiene practices when working and in their personal time. This family is following these recommended guidelines cautiously and conservatively and expect the caregiver to do the same to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.
