Exciting Opportunity for a Non-Invasive Cardiologist in Baltimore, MD

Our organization is in search of a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to enhance our expanding and collaborative cardiovascular program in Baltimore, Maryland.

This position is ideal for a cardiologist interested in a primarily outpatient-focused practice, with the chance to engage in some inpatient cardiovascular care. You will have the opportunity to cultivate meaningful, long-term relationships with patients while collaborating with seasoned cardiologists, advanced practice providers (APPs), and multidisciplinary cardiovascular teams.

Our organization comprises a healthcare system with 13,000 dedicated team members, providing exceptional care to over 1 million patients each year. We operate five major healthcare facilities—Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, and Grace Medical Center—along with numerous primary care and specialty offices.

Our network features numerous leading experts in cardiology, skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide range of heart-related conditions. We have 30 employed and/or affiliated cardiologists, with the medical group representing 22 cardiologists specializing in General Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Invasive Diagnostic Cardiology.

We offer a comprehensive range of advanced cardiac care, including high-risk PCI, TAVR, right- and left-sided EP ablations, along with extensive cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical services.

You will join a supportive and collaborative group of physicians, APPs, and support staff, with access to a robust cardiovascular referral network and a full spectrum of cardiovascular subspecialty expertise.

Position Overview

Full-time Non-Invasive Cardiologist

  • Combination of outpatient and inpatient non-invasive duties

  • Includes new patient consultations, follow-ups for established patients, preventive cardiology, and management of cardiovascular diseases

  • Limited inpatient responsibilities to ensure continuity of care and support the overall cardiovascular program

  • Five-day workweek

  • Shared cardiology call coverage, approximately 1:5 weekends, with APP support

  • Collaboration with inpatient cardiology and cardiovascular subspecialists

  • Access to a comprehensive cardiovascular diagnostic and procedural network

  • Opportunity to engage in quality improvement, clinical education, and cardiovascular program development

  • Guaranteed base salary with bonus potential

Clinical Duties

The Non-Invasive Cardiologist will primarily focus on outpatient cardiovascular care, including:

  • Assessment and management of new and existing cardiology patients

  • Diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, valvular heart disease, arrhythmias, cardiomyopathies, and other cardiovascular conditions

  • Interpretation and application of non-invasive cardiovascular testing as needed

  • Preventive cardiovascular care and risk-factor modification

  • Building long-term relationships with patients and referring providers

  • Coordinating care with primary care and cardiovascular subspecialists

  • Providing necessary inpatient consultations, rounding, or coverage as part of shared responsibilities

  • Facilitating transitions of care between inpatient and outpatient settings

  • Collaborating with APPs, nurses, and other members of the cardiovascular care team

  • This role is designed to focus on an ambulatory cardiology practice while ensuring meaningful involvement in the broader cardiovascular program.

Qualifications

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease

  • Strong clinical and interpersonal abilities

  • Preferred experience or training in echocardiography, including TEE, and interpretation of nuclear cardiology studies

  • Dedication to high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care

  • Maryland medical license or eligibility for licensure in Maryland

  • Eligible for hospital privileges at the relevant facility

Compensation

This position offers a competitive, guaranteed base salary ranging from $400,000–$600,000, depending on specialty, board certification, experience, and other relevant factors. Additional wRVU and quality incentive opportunities are also available.
