Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Mig Robot Weld for our client. This position is responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications. The ideal candidate has experience with heavy MIG welding, blueprint reading, metal fabrication, and quality inspections while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
  • Perform MIG welding on heavy steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Fabricate metal parts using appropriate welding and fabrication techniques.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions.
  • Measure and verify dimensions using tape measures, squares, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure completed welds and fabricated parts meet specifications.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment and fabrication tools safely.
  • Identify and report defects, damaged materials, or quality concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, welding standards, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with production and fabrication teams to meet production schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in MIG welding and metal fabrication required.
  • Experience performing heavy welding in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Strong measuring and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to perform part inspections and verify product quality.
  • Welding certification preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
  • Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required.
  • Manufacturing and metal fabrication facility.
  • Frequent exposure to welding fumes, sparks, heat, noise, and moving machinery.
  • Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots.
  • Team-oriented environment focused on producing high-quality fabricated products while maintaining safety standards.
