What You'll Do as an Experienced Backhoe Operator, Heavy Equipment Operator
- Operate a backhoe or shovel to dig for sewer, water, and gas line repairs or new installations
- Break concrete and prepare areas for digging
- Assist technicians with repair work on-site
- Backfill serviced areas, clean up, seed, and restore job sites
- Remove old sewer lines and check line flow before completing jobs
- Obtain customer approvals for work performed
- Maintain and fuel the service vehicle and ensure proper truck stocking
- Transport materials and tools and track tool usage
- Complete required documentation on services provided and handle any customer payments as needed
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
- 2+ years of Heavy equipment operator experience
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work safely and efficiently on job sites
