You will find SGM systems in fire trucks, heavy rescue, specialty emergency response vehicles, and motor coaches of all kinds. In addition, SGM outfits agriculture rigs and street sweepers with specific overhead heating and cooling solutions to meet rugged in-field conditions.


We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily manufacturing and operational activities across our vehicular HVAC production environment. This role is responsible for improving efficiency, managing production teams, ensuring quality standards, and supporting projects from design through delivery.


Responsibilities

The Operations Manager position is a full-time, exempt position and will be responsible for the following:

  • Directly lead and manage direct and indirect production workforce.
  • Oversee daily operations across fabrication, welding, assembly, coating, harness, hose, tube manufacturing, and testing departments.
  • Manage production schedules, workflow, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and support production teams while promoting a safe work environment.
  • Implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste, improve workplace safety, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure quality standards and on-time delivery requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, and logistics teams to support project execution.
  • Monitor KPIs, production performance, and operational costs safety metrics, and customer service performance.

  • Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel)

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering or related field.
