Operates and monitors automatic setting equipment.

Major Functions and Scope:

Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function or responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.

  • Monitor automatic setting equipment for efficient operation.
  • Ensures continuous flow of tile through setting equipment and stops equipment as needed to adjust.
  • Discards defective tile into hoppers for recycling.
  • Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
  • Follows ISO operating procedures.
  • Unloads slabs from conveyor trays and stacks on conveyor belt in setting.
  • Monitor automatic setting equipment for efficient operations.
  • Cleans broken tile from empty kiln cars in setting.
  • Inspects finished tile for defects and flips base product when necessary.
  • Discards defective tile into trash hoopers in Sorting.
  • Complete equipment changeovers to accommodate the different tile sizes in Sorting.
  • Operates unloading equipment and completes changeovers successfully in Sorting.
  • Operates Finger Car and necessary paperwork in Setting.
  • Operates various powered industrial trucks.
  • Scan finished product into warehouse inventory and places in proper location.
  • Removes and empties scrap and waste containers using the forklift.
  • Loads and unload corner tiles in Corners.
  • General Cleanup in various Departments.
  • Must be willing to learn new positions throughout the plant.
  • Willingness to have a flexible schedule and work overtime.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
