Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:Picks up and delivers machinery, equipment, parts, and supplies for the company. Safely operates and maintains assigned company vehicles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Pick-up, deliver and transport equipment, machinery, parts and supplies for the company and its customers.
  2. Maintain record of all pick-ups and deliveries including required signatures.
  3. Safely load and unload the delivery vehicle.
  4. Assist in scheduling equipment pick-up and delivery times and dates.
  5. Oversee the condition of equipment being delivered to ensure high standards.
  6. Follows all safety rules, procedures, and practices at all times.
  7. Maintain all assigned vehicles in good, clean working condition. Performs necessary maintenance.
  8. Provide operating instructions to customers at the time of delivery.
  9. Ensure customers satisfaction prior to completing delivery.
  10. Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company safety program at all times.
  11. Load and haul oversized and/or overweight transports on a daily basis.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned,

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:

Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

Must be able to set work priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision and be able to understand and carryout oral and written directions.

Must have the ability to maintain high degree of motivation in team members to retain the focus of providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Must have a minimum of six months of related experience, steady work record, and must be able to perform each of the essential position functions.

DOT Requirements:

Must hold a current and valid Class A Driver's License and meet all D.O.T regulations and certifications.

Must participate in random testing through company's Drug and Alcohol Consortium.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to get around the dealership and grounds for various tasks.
  • The employee would normally lift or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs.

  • Ability to be on one's feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate equipment including forklift or other power equipment, as necessary.
  • Ability to climb/step up to twenty-five inches high.
  • Must meet health assessment requirements.
