Heavy Equipment Operator Civil & Sitework
Bedford, NH

Skilled Trades Partners is currently recruiting for a direct hire opportunity with a respected and growing civil/construction contractor serving projects throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Our client is known for high-quality work, strong leadership, and a commitment to building a reliable long-term team.

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join their crew on a permanent basis. Projects include excavation, utility installation, site development, demolition, hardscaping, dirt work, and related civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong excavator experience along with underground utility knowledge.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, skid steers, and backhoes
  • Perform excavation and sitework safely and efficiently
  • Assist with underground utility and civil construction projects
  • Read and interpret construction plans and site drawings
  • Work closely with foremen and crews to keep projects on schedule
  • Maintain equipment and follow all safety procedures on-site
Qualifications:
  • 510 years of heavy equipment operating experience in construction
  • Strong experience with excavation and underground utility work
  • Ability to operate multiple types of heavy equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and construction drawings
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Massachusetts Hoisting License preferred
