Position Description
We are seeking qualified applicants with a strong work ethic and positive attitude for positions related to road and bridge construction, earthmoving, site development, underground utilities, and other heavy civil construction. We primarily hire for work in Michigan including Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Grand Rapids and other areas of Michigan.
Job Duties:
• Operating various heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, graders, front end loaders scrapers and haul trucks.
• Communicate with crew members and supervisors to ensure jobsite safety, production and quality standards are met.
• Willing to be flexible with last minute schedule and jobsite location changes as needed.
• Other construction related duties as required.
Position Requirements
Experience and Qualifications
  • 1 or more years of road construction or similar heavy equipment operating experience is preferred.
  • CDL license is beneficial.
  • Other safety and/or technical training is beneficial.

Work Requirements
  • Strict Adherence to safety requirements, procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
  • We require pre-employment as well as recurring random drug screening for all employees regardless of their role in the Company.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to the jobsite location.

Physical Requirements
  • This position requires time spent walking, standing, bending, climbing, lifting and sitting.

Work Environment
  • This position involves outdoor work. Candidates must be able to work extended/overtime hours on job sites in adverse weather conditions including heat, sun, cold and rain.

Pay and Benefits:
    • $27.40-40.14 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
    • Health insurance plan through Operating Engineers Local 324.
    • Pension plan through Operating Engineers Local 324.
