DAY-TO-DAY AS A HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

Your typical schedule goes from Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm. In this dynamic role, you thoroughly inspect vehicles and equipment to identify the source of any issues and create an action plan to fix the problem. You also proactively address minor things that could become a major breakdown. Working on medium-duty trucks and machinery such as excavators, tractor and trailer dumps, and mobile crushing and screening equipment, you complete a wide range of repair and maintenance services. You maintain documentation, keep your inventory organized, and work closely with your team to deliver excellent results!

Here's what we need from you:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic specializing in fleet trucks and heavy equipment
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
  • Ability to provide tools suitable for heavy equipment maintenance and repair
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and with a team
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to travel within a 25-minute radius of Derry

While not required, a CDL or welding experience would be preferred.
