Job description

Heavy Equipment Laborer

Pay: $23-28/hr. (base rate, some jobs may earn prevailing wage rates) + $50/per diem per day.

Shift: Days = Mon-Friday; occasional Saturday; travel and hours are based on a project by project basis - Projected travel 75% of the time (Company will pay for lodging and provides a per diem for meals)

Description:

  • A drilling contractor in York, PA is looking for travelling construction heavy equipment laborers.  This position will require extensive travel and will be working with the heavy equipment operators and foreman.  Crews are 4-5 people so candidates must be willing to cross train and be open to learning new skills.

Requirements:

  • Willing to travel for project based work; can be short or long duration projects. States include: Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Michigan, and Washington DC.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in the construction industry.
  • Ability to pass a basic weld test or willing to learn how to weld in order to pass the weld test.
  • Willingness to be cross-trained and learn new skills
  • Experience in horizontal auger boring, tunneling, pipe jacking, tunnel boring machines, and horizontal directional drilling operations is very helpful.
  • Valid Driver's License is required
