United Industries Group (UIG) designs and constructs large bolted steel water tanks and concrete foundation systems that serve municipalities, utilities, and industrial facilities throughout the United States.

We're seeking a Civil Field Engineer who enjoys solving real-world construction challenges, working outdoors, and seeing projects come to life. This position travels nationwide, giving you the opportunity to work on major infrastructure projects while building a rewarding career with a growing company.

What You'll Do

  • Support construction of reinforced concrete foundations and bolted steel water storage tanks.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Coordinate with project managers, construction foremen, subcontractors, inspectors, and owners.
  • Monitor project progress and help resolve field issues.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control inspections.
  • Document daily construction activities through reports, photographs, and field records.
  • Verify materials, dimensions, and installation methods meet project specifications.
  • Assist with hydrostatic testing, inspections, and project closeout activities.
  • Promote safe construction practices and maintain compliance with OSHA and project safety standards.
  • Help deliver successful projects on schedule and with exceptional quality.


What You'll Bring

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Engineering (Structural or Civil)
  • Two or more years of field engineering or construction experience.
  • Experience with concrete construction, foundations, heavy civil, structural, or industrial projects.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and construction documents.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% throughout the United States.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
  • OSHA-30 Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire).

Preferred

  • Spanish bilingual.
  • Experience with water tanks, industrial facilities, municipal infrastructure, or heavy civil construction.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, materials testing, and construction inspection.
