Job description

Job Title: Commercial HVAC Installer
Company: Thermo Heating & Air Conditioning
Location: Utica, NY
Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

Thermo Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced and dependable Commercial HVAC Installer to join our team in Utica, NY. This role focuses on the installation of commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $25.00 – $45.00 per hour (based on experience)
  • Profit Sharing

Key Responsibilities

  • Install commercial HVAC systems including ductwork, rooftop units, and related equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation plans
  • Ensure all installations meet local codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations
  • Collaborate with team members and project managers to complete jobs efficiently
  • Perform system start-ups and ensure proper operation after installation
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial HVAC installation experience
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC installation practices and systems
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and plans
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • EPA certification (preferred)
  • Experience with large-scale commercial projects
  • Additional HVAC certifications (a plus)
